This Spring, Meet Halff Where Careers Begin
This spring, Halff continues a long-standing tradition of meeting future professionals where their careers begin.
From January through March, Halff teams will visit campuses to connect with students, answer questions and share what a career at Halff can look like, beginning with internships and extending well beyond graduation.
Career fairs have long served as a starting point for these conversations. They offer students the opportunity to learn more about the work we do, meet the people behind our projects and explore how their aspirations can translate into real-world impact.

The BLUEprints Internship Program
Behind each internship experience is BLUEprints, Halff’s summer internship program designed to help students apply classroom learning to real projects that serve real communities.

Interns are trusted with hands-on responsibilities and supported by collaborative teams across disciplines including water resources, structural engineering, transportation, planning and landscape architecture, surveying and much more.
Many interns return to Halff after graduation to begin full-time careers, continuing the relationships and momentum built during their internship.
A Closer Look at the Internship Experience
What does an internship at Halff actually look like across offices and disciplines?
Through Halff’s BLUEprints Intern Spotlight Series, hear directly from interns as they share their experiences working on real projects, collaborating with mentors and exploring different career paths. The video series features interns from a range of practices, offering an inside look at day-to-day work and professional growth.
Hear from interns like Barrett Johnson who joined Halff’s Fayetteville office in the summer within the water and wastewater practice. Barrett supported active projects through hydraulic profiles, head loss calculations, pump sizing and selection, chemical treatment analysis and CAD drafting. She also participated in site visits and client meetings!

From First Internship to Firm Leadership
At Halff, early career opportunities are part of a longer professional journey.
That belief is reflected at the highest level of the firm. Jessica Baker Daily, Halff’s President and CEO, began her career as an intern in 2003. Her path from student to firm leadership underscores how our culture is built on mentorship, opportunity and long-term growth every step of the way.
A Firm Built on Momentum
Students exploring opportunities this spring will be joining a firm that continues to grow and evolve.

In 2025, Halff expanded into two new states and opened three new offices, including a return to Dallas, where the firm was founded in 1950. The firm earned seven Top Workplace awards and a record 24 project awards, reflecting the quality and technical expertise behind its work.
Service also remained central to Halff’s mission. Through the Halff Community Initiative, employees supported more than 120 organizations, contributed 1,000 volunteer hours and helped surpass one million dollars in total giving, reinforcing community involvement as a core part of how Halff operates.
Begin the Conversation
Sometimes, the most important step in a career begins with a single conversation.
Halff looks forward to meeting students who are curious, motivated and ready to take the next step. Come grow with us!
